Feliz Navidad, Bon Nadal and Merry Christmas

Sunny greetings from lovely Barcelona.  Hope your holidays are filled with laughter, friends and family.

Since my dad couldn’t make it from Dublin due to an insane amount of snow, we’re heading over to enjoy an orphan Christmas with some friends, just pulling a pie out of the oven now.  By a weird its-a-small-world coincidence, one of our hosts and I went to the same elementary school and summer camp as children, but at different times.

Christmas lasts until January 6th around these parts so  expect more Christmas related news in the coming days.

Edit: Dinner was fantastic and in true Spanish form we ate at 10:30pm albeit that was due to oven issues and not the plan. The pie on the other hand was my least successful to date.  I’m not sure what it is but I have a really hard time with pastry dough here, something I’m very comfortable making. Can’t decide if it’s the butter, the humidity or my lack of a pastry cutter.
